Project – an initiative of PEN Canada and the Art for Real Change Collective – is an original play exploring issues of freedom of expression and the complex realities of immigrant and refugee experiences.

Written by four members of PEN Canada's Writers in Exile Program (Emma Beltran, Martha Kuwee Kumsa, Sheng Xue, and Goran Simic) the play follows four characters compelled to leave their home countries and create a new life in Canada.

If you are unable to attend opening night, you are welcome to join us for any other TAXI Project performance (see details below). Daytime performances will be accompanied by an interactive workshop and will be attended predominantly by youth.
