Who<\/p>\n<p>will clean it? Who<\/p>\n<p>will clean the sky?<\/p>\n<p>The bus full of tourists?<\/p>\n<p>The plastic glasses<\/p>\n<p>that slide across the table<\/p>\n<p>of their own volition?<\/p>\n<p>Who will clean your bathtub?<\/p>\n<p>The blood from the windshield?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Riot Act <\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>My tail stretches for miles,<\/p>\n<p>like jazz or an insincere handshake.<\/p>\n<p>Please pass the oxygen.<\/p>\n<p>The average citizen is a tender blur,<\/p>\n<p>chest puffed across the landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Life is really little. Explain your behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>A beach passes through our system,<\/p>\n<p>leaving invisible cleanser behind,<\/p>\n<p>a reason to talk, to get lost,<\/p>\n<p>to play on an ocean<\/p>\n<p>on a day when a landscape<\/p>\n<p>glances at real life.<\/p>\n<p>How little is life? It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best to stay<\/p>\n<p>in bed, a familiar, tremendous environment,<\/p>\n<p>a damp place. The frightened chicken<\/p>\n<p>must question love before we can<\/p>\n<p>sleep. We must sleep before<\/p>\n<p>showing up for jury duty, and<\/p>\n<p>the desert is pleasing, and<\/p>\n<p>night always falls, but<\/p>\n<p>it also suffers. Listen!<\/p>\n<p>That sound is the suffering<\/p>\n<p>of the desert.<\/p>\n<p>There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s always something new<\/p>\n<p>to see. Stand back, citizen!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Summer Becomes Fall <\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>I heard some doubts arise.<\/p>\n<p>I heard a pouch of money.<\/p>\n<p>I heard a sudden flash.<\/p>\n<p>I heard my third eye.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I heard an airplane far above her.<\/p>\n<p>I heard a bobbing pleasure craft.<\/p>\n<p>I heard her face above the muscle.<\/p>\n<p>I heard the smell of Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I heard the nervous system of aphids.<\/p>\n<p>I heard a threadbare prostitute.<\/p>\n<p>I heard Rob Petrie, Laura, the Mertzes.<\/p>\n<p>I heard the body\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leakage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I heard I stopped smoking suddenly.<\/p>\n<p>I heard when I was eight.<\/p>\n<p>I heard a twitching little nose.<\/p>\n<p>I heard a glorious monster.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I heard her skip rope on hopscotch chalk.<\/p>\n<p>I heard the little plops.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Smoking on the Babies The birds are unaware of the greed they swoop through.
