Smoking on the Babies <\/strong><\/h1>\n

The birds are unaware<\/p>\n

of the greed they swoop through.<\/p>\n

An excursion puts<\/p>\n

a monkey on your shoulder,<\/p>\n

but only a small monkey,<\/p>\n

don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t worry.<\/p>\n

The pool closes at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

It is a big pool. Who<\/p>\n

will clean it? Who<\/p>\n

will clean the sky?<\/p>\n

The bus full of tourists?<\/p>\n

The plastic glasses<\/p>\n

that slide across the table<\/p>\n

of their own volition?<\/p>\n

Who will clean your bathtub?<\/p>\n

The blood from the windshield?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Riot Act <\/strong><\/h1>\n

My tail stretches for miles,<\/p>\n

like jazz or an insincere handshake.<\/p>\n

Please pass the oxygen.<\/p>\n

The average citizen is a tender blur,<\/p>\n

chest puffed across the landscape.<\/p>\n

Life is really little. Explain your behaviour.<\/p>\n

A beach passes through our system,<\/p>\n

leaving invisible cleanser behind,<\/p>\n

a reason to talk, to get lost,<\/p>\n

to play on an ocean<\/p>\n

on a day when a landscape<\/p>\n

glances at real life.<\/p>\n

How little is life? It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best to stay<\/p>\n

in bed, a familiar, tremendous environment,<\/p>\n

a damp place. The frightened chicken<\/p>\n

must question love before we can<\/p>\n

sleep. We must sleep before<\/p>\n

showing up for jury duty, and<\/p>\n

the desert is pleasing, and<\/p>\n

night always falls, but<\/p>\n

it also suffers. Listen!<\/p>\n

That sound is the suffering<\/p>\n

of the desert.<\/p>\n

There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s always something new<\/p>\n

to see. Stand back, citizen!<\/p>\n

I heard some doubts arise.<\/p>\n

I heard a pouch of money.<\/p>\n

I heard a sudden flash.<\/p>\n

I heard my third eye.<\/p>\n

I heard an airplane far above her.<\/p>\n

I heard a bobbing pleasure craft.<\/p>\n

I heard her face above the muscle.<\/p>\n

I heard the smell of Mexico.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I heard the nervous system of aphids.<\/p>\n

I heard a threadbare prostitute.<\/p>\n

I heard Rob Petrie, Laura, the Mertzes.<\/p>\n

I heard the body\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leakage.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I heard I stopped smoking suddenly.<\/p>\n

I heard when I was eight.<\/p>\n

I heard a twitching little nose.<\/p>\n

I heard a glorious monster.<\/p>\n

I heard her skip rope on hopscotch chalk.<\/p>\n
